My Advice Regarding Facebook Ads

First set up your Facebook business account in the Ads Manager. I always recommend optimizing to conversions (sales). Facebook registers leads, that is, potential customers. Facebook yields the most valuable data about your customer base when you optimize for conversions, such as gender, age ranges, locations, interests and much more.

But before you get started, read Facebook's rules for advertising and remember you are dealing with mostly machines, not people. You want to steer clear of strikes, appeals and such. Its just a waste of time and gets in the way. Play by their rules.

When setting up your account, click EXPERT--don't let it intimidate you--otherwise the Facebook funnel itself will try to coax you into spending more money than you need to.

Set a budget to daily. In some cases, depending on your sales category, you might be able reasonably to start at $5. That might be enough to get you started--or even maintain you ongoing until you decide to scale up.

As mentioned in other parts of these pages, as you go through these settings, don't do the complicated things at first. Keep your media simple and note the dimensions or resolutions it wants for the ad media.
